• it's very nice as far as the modelling is concerned (some of the most intricate trees we've seen in close up in a procedural graphics entry), but as work that acts as a photograph, i feel too little emphasis is placed on the qualities of the light itself. unfortunately the lens flare leaves a lot to be desired, and i'm also a bit bothered by some of the apparent aliasing in the foliage?
  
  i almost like it, but i'll leave it at a motivational piggy this time :)

• the degree of symmetry is perhaps a bit too extreme for me, but other than that this is fab of course

• fantastic job! expected this to place higher and there's a good likelihood it would have were it shown later in the compo. could probably use a bit of tone mapping and general compression of the tonal range so that not so much if the image is blow up and crushed to black, and a might look even more dazzling with more realistic light transport simulation

• high on concept, but the still image format exposes quite a lot of deficiencies in a scene that presumably was supposed to be realtime rendered and animated

• I've updated the zip. It contains a new version of the executables that fixes a minor visual glitch (that I bet any of you hadn't even noticed, but it bugged me…), and also fixes the 4K version which had a texture alignment issue that I missed because I couldn't even run it properly earlier. The archive finally now contains a 4K version of the image output as well. :)
  
  In addition made this "wallpaper pack" version which includes only the above images, but also a special version of the 4K image that I color graded separately in other tools, just for fun, to make it even more appealing for wallpaper use. • shame about the graphical glitches and a slightly inconsistent quality of the pixel graphics, doesn't ruin the experience but i think it does detract from the impression as a whole a bit

• Industrial is not my kind of thing, so there's only so much appreciation I'm able to have, but just purely viscerally in terms of visuals there's a lot to like here. The look of the square tunnel in the beginning and the camerawork associated with it is just fantastic, as are the red blood cells towards the end of the demo. Other scenes involving the more detailed 3D models—the parts that are notoriously the most difficult to get right—suffer in comparison though, but the social agreement in the scene seems to be to forgive such sins. Kudos for delivering on a consistent concept in the very least.
