• superplek: well, imo, one of the signs of immaturity is a lack of empathy towards others. when i see people laughing at gorish images and finding them "entertaining" it just says to me that that person has an inability to put themselves "in the shoes" of the person they are watching suffer.
  
  i guess that kind of immaturity is promoted in society. yes, it's in the media, it's in movies and people have become so hardened by images of death and destruction (none of which they have actually had to EXPERIENCE for themselves) that nobody finds these things repulsive or immoral.
  
  I prefer to keep my respect for human life, even if it's not my own or someone's I love.
