- demo Windows Chanka of Time by Chanka [web]
- Perhaps it's a coder-demo, but a great one at that, I love it.
The music hits you hard aswell, I like that aswell...
Oh, and it works fine on my WinXP :) - rulezadded on the 2003-03-16 18:34:40
- 4k MS-Dos Complexity by Byteam [web]
- I thought it was pretty cool to get these high--quality meshes in 4k :)

- demo Windows Miracle by ADDiCT [web]
- Very 'scenish' music in here.
Rest of the demo is nice on the eyes aswell. - rulezadded on the 2003-03-09 17:49:21
- demo MS-Dos The Real Thing by Capacala
- I discovered this beauty in the BBS-files on my GUS CD...
GUS-only (ofcourse), and very nice high-paced effects... Good code, and cool music aswell, although rather unorthodox in the second part :) - rulezadded on the 2003-02-20 00:48:59
- demo Windows tranquility by Medieval
- Don't thumb this prod down just because you can't watch it. There's plenty of demos for older hardware already, which you CAN watch... So watch those.
If you start thumbing down prods only because you can't run em, where will it all end? Should we all thumb down the CPC demos for example?
I don't mind people writing demos for hardware that I don't have. I just hope that they use that hardware well, and make something beautiful out of it. That's what the scene should be about.
My 2 cents etc... - isokadded on the 2003-02-18 23:01:40
- demo invitation Linux Windows VIP 2 by Popsy Team [web]
- Apparently I forgot to comment on this... Bit late now, everything is said already...
Fantastic experience this one :) - rulezadded on the 2003-02-09 01:04:37
- demo Amiga OCS/ECS megademo 2 by Rebels
- One of the first ever Amiga demos that I saw...
Lots of copper effects in this one... Many parts...
And the 4 heads in the screenshot are actually movies that are animated on the 4 channels of the music... that totally blew me away :) - rulezadded on the 2003-02-08 00:49:01
- 64k MS-Dos/gus tp5 intro by Cascada
- This intro had some very nice code, as usual with Cascada stuff (watch Holistic for example).
Music wasn't bad either...
Shame it's rather picky about your PC, I think only my 486 can run it... - rulezadded on the 2003-02-03 20:30:12
- 64k Windows Squish by AND [web]
- I deeply respect the fact that this is a one-man-show.
I think the colours are a bit overboard, but the rest of the intro is very nice. - rulezadded on the 2003-02-03 19:20:22
- demo MS-Dos Windows Summer Terror by Solar [web]
- YANSCWD (Yet Another Non-Subpixel-Corrected Software Demo)...
Funny how there's MMX-asm scrolling through the screen, but no subpixel-correction... Don't you want to learn how to write a stable rasterizer before you optimize it? :)
Lack of subpixel-correction happens a lot, I wonder why... And I think it's unacceptable for any post-1997 production. If you really want to use software, make sure you know HOW... Else just use hardware, so we don't get your slow, buggy, wiggly lowres stuff on screen to annoy us ;)
Anyway, just had to get that rant off my chest, because I've seen too many YANSCSWDs... So it's not just about this demo...
Now something that IS about this demo...
Yes, lots of stuff, music was not bad, but it got a bit repetitive because the demo lasted rather long. Effects and objects were generally nice. - isokadded on the 2003-02-01 12:10:31
