• I also got that TheLastEngine -- Failed to load demo error too with my ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB of VRAM) in my old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3 machine (i7 950).

• I couldn't run it at 1280x1024 fullscreen due to
  "Error creating render target" error. I read its text file that said 768 MB of VRAM is required! Well, damnit. :( I did try windowed mode with 640x480 resolution and it actually ran, but too choppy for my old ATI Radeon 4870 video card with 512 MB of VRAM in an old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3 machine (i7 950 CPU). However, I noticed the demo's options showed 4X antialias greyed out. Why can't I change this? :(

• Pretty cool. Some parts got choppy for video and audio too. Maybe my ATI Radeon 4870 video card (512 MB of RAM; 1280x1024 resolution) in an old, updated Windows XP Pro. SP3 isn't good enough. :(
