- I tend to disagree with the player argument. Unlike flash, plain unity has no timelining features. You can't use it as a demotool as it is, you still have to code a demo framework within unity, and you have to know how the engine works.
I even had to write a bit of shader code in order to get the awesome cube on that bigscreen ;) - isokadded on the 2016-01-06 15:51:18

- Numtek: is a demo that opens a window using SDL worse than a demo that does it with plain old win32? Is it okay to use libpng or do you have to implement this stuff yourself? Does an amiga demo utilizing the player playroutine suck? Frameworks and libraries are a common thing in the scene nowadays. Imho reinventing the wheel often doesn't make sense, and it comes down to how much original invention there is in a demoscene prod. In case of this demo: unity or not, from a technical perspective it would have sucked anyway. ;) your point about giving credit to used tools is a valid one though, but then, many demos don't. Personally i don't care all that much as long as the result works - and figuring out how hard something was to create (or what fakery was involved) is part of the fun.

- Et: No offense taken :) there's a wide variety of ideas and ideals within the demoscene, and that is a good thing.

- there are 2 more soundtracks for the first part in addition to the default one. Use command line arguments.

- jmph: it's not clipping. it's (intentionally) highly colored though. might be a bit loud in the mix, but well, getting done and stuff. mike for the jazz version was an md421, which is high quality but has a very special sound.

- Thanks for all the great comments! :D
Maali, which controller are you using? Total gaming noobs turned out to cope well with the controls using the 360 controller.
btw, i laughed a lot coding this thing. quote:
Code:public bool PissRequest() { if (GameState == EGameState.LevelStarted) { if (peeLeft > 0) { peeLeft--; BroadcastMessage("EventSetPeeLeft", peeLeft); return true; } else if (peeLeft == -1) return true; // infinipiss } return false; }
Moreover, Unity5 now supports peefabs in addition to prefabs. - isokadded on the 2015-04-13 08:33:52
