- Besides.. we've seen JFF demos with judge miguel coding, which used software before, so it's not like they're not qualified to do software rendering... so if they want to play around with 3D accel, let them go ahead :)

- I like to see pixelated textures getting some respect :) Who says more advanced is necessarily better...
To people complaining about it not being software rendered: wtf? :) If I read the nfo and saw it was software rendered, it wouldn't effect my respect for the production or their work. Choose the right tools for the job. If they'd used software rendering for an identical result, they'd have wasted their time. Wait for the next demo to see if they should have put together a reusable software rendering engine, but I don't think it matters here :) - isokadded on the 2002-03-07 05:44:50

- It seemed pretty short (but maybe that's not a bad thing? :)). I didn't like that I had to manually exit at "the end" screen. That's only cool when the effect at the end is awesome, like in the non-stop ibiza experience :)

- Watched the demo.. HMMmm..
Well, it was a story demo of some sort with some inside humour (pics of members/friends). Contrary to most people, I actually admire the fact that they made an anti-ms demo for windows instead of linux. If they're serious about what their message, why would they be interested in finding an approving audience? That said, they might be crossing a line or two that could get them into legal trouble :)
The art's pretty bad, but it seems that some effort was put into it.. including lots of pain on the coder's part to be able to display it all. The music's bad too :)
.. and it's pretty long. I didn't hate it, but probably won't watch it again.
Oh yeah.. When it started up, it was all screwed up... I had to click around like crazy and fool around just to get the demo's display surface on top of my other windows... and it crashed on exit. - isokadded on the 2002-03-04 20:23:04

- ps. I like Linux :) ..but the behaviour of some people is embarassing enough for me to want to keep some distance even in support.

how is the interest to do anti microsoft production in a windows demo ?
the best way to be anti windows is to never use windows, so ....
I completely disagree with this :) Have you ever heard of "preaching to the choir"? I wonder just as much what Linux advocates think they're accomplishing by badmouthing MS to they're Linux-using buddies and giving eachother high-fives each time. It's not utterly useless, because I suppose it can help keep a cult-like stranglehold on anyone inside, and that's a plus... but it's not winning over new people per-se... - isokadded on the 2002-03-04 19:59:35

- After exiting, I found that the application was still running.... and it had 170MB of memory allocated :)
Anyway... kind of cool.. kind of impressive.. but it was sort of painfully boring for me to wait through for some reason. - isokadded on the 2002-03-01 01:47:46
