- demo Amiga OCS/ECS Wicked Sensation by Tristar & Red Sector Inc. [web]
- I'm surprised I didn't thumb this yet. Deserves a thumb for Boesendorfer alone. Great graphics by Peachy too, and nice stuff by Wayne Mendoza too. :) One of the last highlights of TRSI if I remember correctly?

- invitation Windows Sundown 2008 Invitation by Tristar & Red Sector Inc. [web] & BitFellas [web] & ukscene allstars [web]
- very very nice invitation with trademark H2O style. Is that an abstracted version of Peachy's Misery Dentro picture at the beginning?
Plus I really loved the joke at the end with the "S". :-) - rulezadded on the 2008-07-11 11:11:07
- demo Windows Seiryoku by Inque [web]
- While i completely loved the opening, I felt quite bored in the tunnel with the motorbike. Like Pixtur, I'd love to see a final of this. Or rather, their upcoming Evoke intro/demo/whatever-it-is-that-you-plan. You were up to a tough competition here, admittedly.

- demo Windows Only one wish by Fairlight [web] & The Black Lotus [web]
- Probably one of the demos in the truest original form in recent years.
"Let's show off."
"Aaaaight, what have we got?"
"Plenty of this and that."
"Sounds good, what else?"
"This stuff might look cool too, let's throw it in."
"Ace, it's a wrap."
And that's what I truly still love. It doesn't have to be coherent (a new fashion word, eh?) all the time. It's about doing stuff you think might look cool. And that's what I truly appreciate in this demo. It's very "honest" in that regard and doesn't try to be something else. Just good old fun. Rocks.

- demo Windows Inflorescence by mfx [web]
- This must be the MFX production I like most along with Deities and Aether. It's nothing but mind-bending in every possible sense. Simply everything fits together perfectly. The music - which I probably couldn't stand when listening to it isolated - the eerie spider-web type of objects, the colourful surface that looks like a planet surface, the slimy tunnels. Every single aspect of the demo leaves me crying out loud "just... what.. the hell IS this?".
Coupled with the voice samples it all generates a brilliant atmosphere, something that captivated my senses completely while watching. Thanks for the ride, Uncle-X, Pommak et al. Please keep innovating like this! - rulezadded on the 2008-07-11 10:47:34
- demo Windows Nazca by Cocoon [web]
- the term "flyby" is probably the most stupid categorisation the demoscene ever came up with. It's not only disrespectful in every possible way towards ANY modeller out there, but it simply misses the point completely. I prefer a good "flyby" to any other type of sub-par demo. And that's what it's all about, isn't it? It's about the overall quality IMO. And Nazca is a great DEMO in my book. Period.
Respect to everyone involved. - rulezadded on the 2008-07-11 10:37:49
- 4k Windows Atrium by TBC & Loonies [web]

- demo Windows The Seeker by Still [web]
- I fully second Gloom on this. The atmosphere in this demo is so .. so... tense, dramatic, poetic I can't find words to describe it. It has the charm and artistry of games like Ico or Shadow of the Colossus, and gives me the feeling of being "uncommercial but artistic". Something the majority might not treasure as much. And yes, it gives me chills as well. It has character thanks to the brilliant direction. To me, this demo should be a sure-fire nominee in Best Direction and Best Soundtrack of 2008 at the next Scene.org Awards. The song reminds me of a track I have in my head with vocals, but I haven't found out yet which song it is. In any case, the violins and piano perfectly fit the underwater setting and give the scene an eerie mood.
Lads in Still: Thanks for one of the most captivating demo experiences I had in a long time. You truly brought back a lot of inspiration - something I lacked recently. - rulezadded on the 2008-07-03 10:12:49
