  It's not really zooming, just showing copies of a single ring like slice of a Julia, but always slightly randomly rotated and blended together to hide the seams. If we really would zoom that fast, the floats would run out of precision in the first 10 seconds or so (I tried). Real deep zoom might be possible with some perturbation math, maybe even fast enough? But why bother when you can fake it like this.
