- Does not seem to run correctly on anything I have available (white screen) .. wanted to see for myself how bad this is.

- "Nomen est Omen". A fine presentation, mostly pulled together by the soundtrack. Design consists of somewhat similar scenes/effects with synced progression, which is fine of course. Personally I think the cloudy landscape with titles/credits at the beginning and end feels most disconnected from the other effects though.

- demo Windows Impulsum Fabrica by Pyrotech
- Ehm .. no. Just no. And I think all that I could say about this has already mostly been said by other commenters.
I've never particularly been a fan of the "Pyrotech style", but despite all the apparent glitz this demo has, it feels like it's on a downward curve general quality wise compared to previous ones.
Better luck next time, I suppose. - sucksadded on the 2024-08-06 12:07:59
- demo Amiga AGA Pt 2 Horizons by Unique [web]
- Great AGA demo. Perhaps nothing "artistically" mind-blowing, but impressive tech with solid presentation and flow.

- demo Windows Superselection by Byterapers [web] & Doomsday & Future Crew
- Meh. My thoughts are much like what Preacher said above. The presentation is made to seem "bombastic" while actually just feeling unnecessarily pompous instead.
Of the quality I can only say that it feels .. uneven. Some of the stuff looks quite nice, but some of it looks very dated and unfitting, especially the character models. The soundtrack is good and serves its purpose, though I cannot say that it was very memorable.
Unlike several other commenters, I am not a fan of the voice-over. Not because of lack of quality, it is indeed very good - props to Truck (I couldn't have guessed it was him), but rather just the existence of it. VO-storytelling just does not suit me.
All of this is exacerbated by the whole "hey, look! it's (B) + DSD + FC production", which feels a bit like "we got the big names back together for this" in an attempt to fish for attention or something .. but perhaps I am reading too much into it.
Generally I am on the verge of a thumbs-down, but somehow that feels just slightly too harsh. - isokadded on the 2024-08-05 11:06:26
