The z-fighting on some gfx cards is a known problem, but it was already after the deadline when I noticed it on a different card (this was developed on Radeon HD 3650 and it worked fine). I'll try to rescale the geometry or make adjustments to zNear and zFar.
I see that some things should be sorted out; the compo was to code an effect, not a full demo or an intro. Even the music wasn't required at all. Compo theme was: "Crazy checkerboard" (any interpretation).
And yes, I'm aware that what you can see here could be done in 4kB. The question is, will it be possible to code the final version in 4kB? :) - isokadded on the 2009-03-24 19:01:10
