- Definitely would've deserved a Best Soundtrack nod (in the very least) at Meteoriks.

- Trendwhore 2. I'm a bit torn, some of the effects look spectacular as they should, chiefly the very first one as well as the other more abstract ones. The rest is hit or miss and especially the 3d model stuff falls to the latter category. I guess it in part the rendering which looks quite flat but even more importantly the color grading... tinted blacks just don't look good unless they're done just right :). Still liked it though, motion blur instantly doubles your credibility! Enjoyable gloomy (heh) track too. Solid midrange stuff.

- I'll be damned, Virgill ain't fucking around. Lots of content and very respectable rendering quality for 4k. Even has depth of field, and looks pretty good too despite being just gaussian as far as I can tell. And yeah the performance was... not exactly great, but it was fun having it draw the frames in sync with the music (that stab instrument) :)
As far as criticism goes I'm siding with ferris and yzi. - rulezadded on the 2016-10-02 14:11:13

- Not as good looking or sounding as the other one, but still that audio... it's hacking into my consciousness.

- Hm, went under the radar for me. Nice small scale sophisticated minimalism. The tracker module makes it sound quite dated though.

- Well made and somewhat clever but I still had to force myself to be entertained.

- Well yes I might've been hasty with that comment um, five years ago.... I'd reverse that thumb if I could. With that said I didn't really miss the point, but just didn't think it communicated the idea that well (i.e. having a narrative relies on the storytelling which I find to be lacking, and yeah size coding is one thing but 23 bytes is quite arbitrary to begin with, which makes it seem just a happy accident, which then again is something I don't mind), and didn't personally find the end result that appealing at that point.
