- demo Windows California Sunshine by Northern Dragons [web]
- you know what? following my own logic from above i set my primary-monitors resolution to 1080p, tried again and it showed the graphics! :)
demo:
its so freaking psycho, no way i could not love it! partied it in the stream already, sofascening, although i awaited sth completely different after the superb demo from NVScene 2008! ;)
the tooth/mouth-wheel-scene however went down to half the framerate (25 instead of 50fps), any idea why that is?
seems not finished, but you should absolutely leave the demo as is now! ;) - rulezadded on the 2014-03-29 09:26:55
- demo Windows California Sunshine by Northern Dragons [web]
- screen stays black, music playing!
ATI HD6950 Win7 64bit
But i know where this comes from -> Multimonitor-Setup...once you try to run Demos on a multiMonitor-Setup and the primary monitors resolution doesnt fit the resolution you try to run the demo in, it stays black! ;)
My monitors have a 16:10-aspect and you sadly dont let me choose these resolutions in your dialogue. Only 1920*1080, available, but no 1920*1200.
I think there´s no fix for this. Only thing you can do is deliver all aspects-resolutions.
Another strange thing is some 10 pixels of a Windows show up on the most-left border of my second monitor, which is expanding the desktop to the right. (rest of it seems to sit under the black borderless demo-window!) - isokadded on the 2014-03-29 09:16:41

- Greetings to Some1! This time your music bored me, but you did a lot better back then, concerning my comment here:

- This is a bit too professional for me!
The music bored the hell out of me!
I loved the "Extruded Hexagons"-Part!
You forgot to interpolate your values from the 3D-Texture, though! :p (yielding very visible artefacts this way! A complete raymarched approach would have had rendered this a lot nicer for sure!)
All in all i completely understand how this won, but there´s a lot of room for improvements! Especially effect-wise and music-wise aswell! ;)
But deserves nothing less than a thumb up ofcourse!
You can hire me btw, i will teach you then ;) I´m not cheap, though! :D - rulezadded on the 2014-03-28 14:40:11
- demo Windows Eternal Dream of Beauty by Still [web]
- Kinda hard to find words for this!
I guess everything that involves JCO is like that! ;)
Inimitable is one word describing this, maybe! :)
Let me assure you i laughed my ass off in the middle of the night here in Germany watching the stream. And i still couldn´t stop smiling and a bit of laughing when i just rewatched it! Especially the Scooter-part and when the guns pop in at some point! Oh, and the duck.3ds ontop of jesus cross! ;)

- demo Windows min by Loopit [web]
- Some weak parts, but the overall nice rendering helped not recognizing them too much!
All of the transitions are superb and buttersmooth!
I really thought this would place 1st for the "Best Grettings-Part ever" alone! ;)
But after rewatching the binary-version i think different, placing on the podest is deserved for sure, tho!

- demo JavaScript secondrealm.is by Satori [web]
- I never got into Satori, maybe because i had no computer for almost a decade back when they first appeared!
Watching the compo sofascener-style i immediately hated it for being the same as always, not as good as earlier prods and ofcourse for the commercial shit.
I first tried to think about if this is just fun or real, but as the demo didn´t interest me anyway, i stopped caring and watched the following demos instead!
I hate commercials, but i dont factor this into my thumb, which goes down!
You could try to add sth new to your style, to convince me next time! ;) - sucksadded on the 2014-03-28 14:10:02
- demo Windows subspace by Science [web]
- The tech is quite top-notch.
Music was fitting for those visuals, but maybe sth faster accomodated with faster progression of the scenes would have made this even better!
8th place is arguable, but this misses sth somewhere, you know! Also the whole compo was quality-wise really good!

- i like it!
should have taken some more pace towards the end, tho! more action and maybe some weak beat, you know! ;) - rulezadded on the 2014-03-28 13:54:12

- too artsy for my taste, i miss some effects! ;)
also your motionBlur seems wrong, it blends all at full level as it seems! ;) - isokadded on the 2014-03-28 13:50:02
