• one of the most uninspired and conceptually hollow PC demos in recent years. same brand as "Bring It On" from three years earlier, but this time it doesn't even look good or maintain same kind of a menacing aura. in particular that man walking mocap is such a tired cliché at this point that it actively annoying me. not to mention all of the general visual artifacts and shortcomings (low res moon texture, lack of almost any and all shadows, etc.).
  
  it's the music in large part that dictates how a demo ultimately turns out though. granted i haven't yet really liked any of Tineidae's soundtracks all that much (although "Shunting Yard" is quite fine for the first half or so), but this one felt particularly grating and monotonous in a severely unpleasant way. even just from visceral enjoyment viewpoint the mixing and sound design are way too "nasal" and congested for their own good.
  
  there were several wonderful demos both before and after this in the compo, yet i feel this is the one that will be forgotten by far the quickest.
