- Too much recycling. :(

- If we are being honest, this is like 10% of what's possible on this platform/size combo. It's a good five steps back from where the best DOS 4ks were at 10 years ago. Although it's cute to hear some Adlib music in something from 2017, saying things like "Really good small piece of software" sounds like awful pandering and too far away from the truth. :)
And this is not a debut either, so uhm, sorry. Better luck next time. - sucksadded on the 2017-04-21 12:43:34

- Except for one really ugly part (before the tunnel), it's a really solid comeback.

- I'm not sure if Brainfuck jokes are so old that they qualify for a proper revival already, but then again, the demo also looks like it was made in another era (ca. 2002?), so I guess it fits. Overall it's an alright debut, very intro-ish, short and punchy, but tech and style sure look a bit stale.

- 256b Commodore 64 A Mind Is Born by lft [web]
- Let me spoil the cheer-leading soup a little with an unenthusiastic 'meh' :)
Because all the clever tech wrangling (and excellent documentation) still leaves me with a glitch intro, were neither video nor audio are particularly interesting or engaging. Not to mention that roughly the same experience (sans thin layers of projected story arc) can be had for a handful of bytes on this machine; I find things like Wallflower to be still miles ahead when it comes to WTF factor and satisfaction of nerd sensibilities. But that might be just me. :) - isokadded on the 2017-04-21 11:35:36

So if you're into this stuff:
Don't Hug Me I'm Scared
Mr. Pickles
Salad Fingers
Arg. Now I watched have a season's worth of Mr. Pickles. :) Another (obvious? for me, at least) point of reference is Rubber Johnny. - isokadded on the 2017-04-19 12:44:24

- Not sure what this is (photon mapping? PBR?), but it sure looks neat. Some massive audio too. :)

Minor quibble: the fact that the ships kept rotating almost all the time made me slightly angry
Haha, me too. Those senselessly spinning buggers just want to show off. ;) It looked like a weird production oversight in an otherwise finely tuned (yet seemingly re-hashed) intro. - isokadded on the 2017-04-18 19:46:11

- The court jester is still in the house. Making fun of himself and ye olde scene in the only way possible: absurdist. ;)
And this is so low on specs it runs smoothly on a toaster (well, almost). - rulezadded on the 2017-04-18 19:34:25
