- demo ZX-81 Somewhat Less Limited Capabilities by Noice [web]
- Seriously hardcore. Although the execution is so slick here that it's probably hard to tell exactly *how* hardcore. But trust me, it is.

- 64k Linux Windows ephemera by Approximate [web]
- Was looking forward to this for ages, and it didn't disappoint. Impressive amount of content, and textures which successfully avoid the shonkiness that can plague even the best 64ks.
Best 64k of 2009 (so far), naturally. - rulezadded on the 2009-09-13 12:34:48

- 32b MS-Dos Randomly spawning caret in 3 bytes
- thumb up, purely because I'm amused at how it's so difficult to find somewhere on the internet which will host three bytes of data without screwing you over.

- demo Windows The Flow by znah
- Refreshingly original, although towards the end it struggled to find enough variation to sustain the entire piece of music (which is understandable... it's not like you could ask the musician to re-cut it).
I don't think an original soundtrack would have improved on this at all, unless it was an original classical soundtrack - the concept just wouldn't have been as interesting if it was visuals synced with an ambient / chillout track or something.
(btw: no, it's not the first demo to use classical music...) - rulezadded on the 2009-08-09 03:57:01
- demo ZX Spectrum Second Breath (morphing part) by Dream Team
- Very nicely done, especially for 1995 standards... but it commits the classic mid-90s Russian Speccy scene offence of "use generic techno music everywhere, regardless of how unsuitably slow-paced the visuals are".

- demo ZX Spectrum SILAbbA by Target Team
- Nice! I'd never thought of Basic demos as a playground for designers, but it makes perfect sense: show what you can do with design to disguise an almost complete lack of effects. :-) And here it's been done very well indeed. More please!

- wild Animation/Video Hold me for ever by Madeleine De Bruin & Maaike Jansen
- tomaes: explain please? I don't really see how winning a reality TV show is proof of this being a marketing ploy, unless you're implying that someone who's commercially successful can't possibly have legitimate creative reasons for entering a demoscene competition.

- demo liveact Windows 한글 by Limp Ninja [web]
- I think this ought to be added under the 'liveact' prodtype as well. Or would that be silly?
