- simply excellent. the article's i've read so far (maybe two thirds :) are top notch. and the interface is a big improvement - especially the text rendering engine, which seems quite solid now :)

- demo Windows fr-059: momentum by Farbrausch [web]
- it's a problem with some textures being too big, which i would've been able to fix SEVERAL MONTHS AGO if only WAYFINDER GAVE ME THE DAMN DATAFILES! (grrr)

- demo Windows fr-minus-09: human sources by Farbrausch [web]
- actually, this was meant more as a satire than anything else, but to paraphrase a german saying, "everyone puts on the shoes that fit them", so feel free to be pissed if it suits you :)
the (german) text is 100% original from a spam mail that jco received about a month ago (except for the repetitions). not a word was changed, and neither were any of the urls (as spoken). the website is gone for good already, so the whole thing probably was a short-lived scam operation. in any case, the completely fucked up german translation with its unintentional humor was reason enough for jco to make a track out of it, and for me to suggest turning it into a demo :). besides, we both found it hilarious how the job offer crap in the first half slowly turns into the cheesy propaganda-ish phrases full of military metaphors in the second half.
images and 3d scenes were done by jco, who also synced the 3d scenes. chaos did some simple background effects (the kaleidoscopic stuff). i wrote and synced the "english" subtitles and did the syncing for the images.
the subtitles were inspired by but not copied from the english texts on the website when it was still online. the grammar wasn't as bad as it is in the subtitles, but it was bad enough. if anyone takes the descriptions of the music in the subtitles seriously, he must be deaf, dumb or both :) - isokadded on the 2008-01-05 20:55:55

- hm, i liked it in the compo, but i'll need to rewatch it some more to make up my mind. piggy for now.

- demo Windows Natural Grown Killer by Fulcrum [web]
- the story was 100% cliché, which is kinda bad when it's the what the rest of the demo is built on. and the graphics seem like a randomly thrown together collection of styles without any relation to the flow of the demo.
that said, i still enjoyed it during the compo, but it's no rulez. - isokadded on the 2008-01-02 00:09:18
