• The quaternions looked very aliased. You might want to try supersampling on the grid to get decent isovalues, so you get better results with less polys (and less precalc/waste of memory).

• Worked okay with 9600Pro and Omega based on cat 5.1, just very very very slow when you turn the resolution up.

• Still doesn't work here, on a 6800LE with latest WHQL drivers. When the progress bar is at about 95%, it just becomes one big memory leak, I killed the process when it was using nearly 2 gb of memory.

• Well, there must be something extraordinary in your code. I see people saying they get about 3 fps on a 3 GHz machine. My 1800+ does way better than that. P4 is not THAT bad.
  There must be something that is unusually slow, like denormals or something?
