• The file is ps2link encapsulated in a simpler elf structure to please the lame loader of armax (which is one of the only way to run files on newer unmodded ps2s).
  
  Notice that the console also hangs when i load your irx with ps2link directly, apparently there's something that's not pleasing it in your _start().

  I tried with xlink & ps2client (loadelf 3.30), i modifed ps2link 1.46 to run with armax:
