• in general there's nothing to be said against reusing effects, but 90% recycled code, completely recycled music and less than 2000 pixels worth of original graphics :) is a bit much.

• it was fun once. but there's absolutely no reason to watch it a second time, and it's impossible to judge how good or bad this is because it emulates some arbitrary hw that never even existed. for the kind of pc it requires to run the effects sure are bad. also, what havoc said.
  
  still no thumb down because there isn't anything really bad about it either, but in my ranking this definitely wasn't first place material.

• "median cut"? you mean average. the median is something entirely different, and median cut is a vector quantization algorithm typically used for low-dimensional data such as colors :)

  i know the quality leaves something to be desired, but this is one of the most encoder-unfriendly demos i've ever seen (together with chromosphere :), and i didn't want to produce a video that's huge and that nobody can play.
