• Actually, I never liked this 3.3MHz stuff as well (as you said, this is not a simple and regular slow down and also because this imaginary frequency comes from an obscure _average_ calculation...). However, it's simpler to use it for explaining that the CPU is not running at full speed rather than going through a bunch of techno-bables with T/M-cycles and wait-states. Remember this is pouet, not a datasheet, use your thumb, not your brain :)
