- demo Atari Falcon 030 we dreme of atari by Dildo Fatwa [web]
- Just to let you know, it was developed on a Falcon, but will run on something like STEEM as it uses STe features rather than Falcon ones.
You should kick up the emulated cpu fairly high, in other words don't try it at 8mhz 68000. Also, giving it the full 4 meg of ram is a good idea too!

- demo Atari Falcon 030 wait by T.O.Y.S. [web]
- A great demo with lots going on. Had the misfortune to go up against both 'Hmm' and 'Don't break the Oath' at EIL 2001.

- Small and perfectly formed. The GBA is really a nice demo platform.

dbug: is there any place gathering atari coders ramblings?
Winden, Outline '06 will certainly gather some rambling Atari coders there, why not drop in, if you are able to :-) - isokadded on the 2006-05-21 23:56:29

Now, I need a Falcon emulator. Is there anything like that?
Unfortunately not Karmak. There's 'Aranym', which is fairly close. Basically it's a high-end "Virtual Machine" Atari clone, that is, a posh name for an emulator. It can use the Falcon rom and emulates much of the hardware.
The authors aren't keen to make a perfect Falcy emulation, and prefer to develop the GEM-legal virtual clone aspect, but it can run some Falcon '030 software. I don't think it will be able to take on the more intensively coded stuff, things that use the DSP and so on. This prod, happily, or sadly, depending on your point of view, falls into that category.
As for a pure Falcon emulation, there is really a gap in the market waiting here :-) - isokadded on the 2006-05-20 01:23:16

- I take my comments back about the demo, I managed to get it running separately from the diskmag shell, works a treat on CT60.

- I can't say too much about the text part of it, as I was heavily involved in that. The shell was a mixture of joy and frustration. Joy at the excellent presentation, and frustration at it missing accelerated machines again. A CT60 fix will be joyously greeted! The demo rocked of course, again with some frustration with it having a fastram phobia, but it was perfect on my other CT2 boosted Falcon :-)

- demo Atari Falcon 030 Fungle Beats by Falcon Users Netherlands
- This was the first demo I showed my girlfriend. She smiled, but didn't comprehend. Then again, that would have been the same for any other demo ;-)
