- demo ZX Spectrum aeon by Triebkraft & 4th Dimension
- When a demo gets into top three prods for the platform, esp. platform with such a rich scene history as ZX Spectrum, many people tends to complain about it. Supposedly, it is just not as good as some other demo, or it is not a coding feat enough, or the pixel graphics in it are relatively sparse. However, this demo is in the top 3 for over ten years now and it gets a steady stream of positive comments, which must count for something.
So, to put is simply. This is one of the most "complete" demos on the platform. Of course, it is imperfect and it can be criticised for various things. However, it just works, the music does not get tiresome and the kaleidoscope is just as exciting as when I saw it for the very first time. It just works together well and this is a lot more than can be said about many other contenders for the top. - rulezadded on the 2019-05-24 18:40:51
- demo Commodore 64 NGC 1277 80% by Samar Productions
- Amazing graphics and some very fresh interpretations of effects. Will be definitely looking for the final, but even this incomplete version is very impressive.

- wild Animation/Video The Week by Moppi Productions
- This was one of the demos shown to me by a demoscener friend to explain what demoscene is. I still think "The Week" is one of the best demos for this purpose.
I wish there was more kinetic typography in demos. - rulezadded on the 2019-05-06 23:11:24
- demo Windows Mening by Fairlight [web]
- I love the scene from the screenshot; several other scenes are just as delightful. I very much enjoyed the complexity of visuals, especially the post-processing.

- demo Amiga AGA Brutalism by Capsule
- Lovely technical work, but I am even more impressed with the design of your multilayered complex scenes, a bit similar to what was popular in the late 1990s and early 2000s. The design and technical work are really well-welded here.
To me this sits in the top 3 for sure. The 6th place is probably not so much to do with the tough compo, but due to too much namevoting. However, with this level of quality of your prods, you'd be a name to namevote for in no time. - rulezadded on the 2019-04-23 18:12:30

Excellent work by the artist. - rulezadded on the 2019-04-22 23:31:27
- demo Amstrad CPC Octopus Pocus by Pulpo Corrosivo
- This is a very cool demo, which was a pleasure to watch, even if its short.
@Hicks, there were several rubber cubes on ZX Spectrum as well, but I am only aware of wireframe versions. - rulezadded on the 2019-04-22 23:24:09
