- 64k MS-Dos famous cyber people by Pulse [web]
- This one is just so very original in it's style, the effects, art and soundtrack all are sort of crazy and make this feel different. The only complaint is that the the effects are only variations of one (which isn't a bad thing) and that the few bumped ones that are displayed don't really look so good. One shouldn't apply bump mapping to something that's presumably a bright light. But everything has it's flaws and this is first and foremost an excellent 64k.

- demo MS-Dos/gus Dope by Complex [web]
- The sound's really fine and the demo flows quite softly with effects that still look relatively nice. I like the fire that basically connects three different scenes and eliminates the typical separation feel of different effects in a classic style demo. Dope also seems quite coherent in style somehow. Everyone should see this, it's alone a sufficient reason to own a GUS along with a few other demos. OTOH, it's on Mindcandy too... But then, seeing the original is better than seeing a lossily packed video of it.

- demo Windows Supreme-win32 by Outbreak [web]
- Ugly 3D, mostly just recycling effects that had been seen hundred times over and lacks design.

- demo Windows Antifact by Limp Ninja [web]
- While the rendering may be interesting as a technique it does not look good and it has nothing to do with Mondrian's works except in a very, very superficial way. This is not reductionist.
If not that, it should be a completely different kind of beautiful to be good but take out the rendering which itself fails to appeal to the eye and you are left with nothing. - sucksadded on the 2006-02-08 20:10:31
- demo Windows 232 by apocalypse inc [web]
- Very psychedelic, like a visual drug and maybe strongest of the demos in this style in that regard. I find it somewhat crude, the mushroom-personas and the part with the electric guitar don't quite fit in and I would've hoped for a little more direction in the design. It's an uncut diamond.

- demo Windows 85 dollars by Mandarine [web]
- Visually interesting, I like the print raster backgrounds and the overall feel. It's hard to find the general idea here but it would seem to be a kind of a colorful tribute to popular culture.
The characters aren't an outright copy of South Park's style even if that's what they are referring to and work well with the soundtrack. There are no original effects to speak of but some excellent modelling and fairly good composition of scenes make the demo. I have to give the final screen of the demo a special mention, I found it immensely stylish, the caddy against tiled "falling dollars" background is just brilliant. - rulezadded on the 2006-02-08 17:06:38
- demo Windows Realtime Prague by MovSD [web]
- Oh yeah, this is really great... for a tourist office.
Looks like interesting architecture, I'll need to check it out when I visit Prague some day, I'll keep the demo in mind for that.
As a demo, it doesn't really work. - sucksadded on the 2006-02-06 23:55:16
- demo Windows Exploding Teenage Emotions by Alpha Millenium Crew
- I dislike the soundtrack and there's nothing interesting in the effects. Thinking positively, it's nice to have another demo with an unconventional music. Just that I've heard better punk rock.

- demo Windows FreeFall by Trailer Park Demos [web]
- Fair, but short, doesn't impress me graphically or designwise apart from the whole freefall idea. It's ok.

- demo Windows Chickenvictory by 7th cube [web]
- Well, it's half-funny, someone might even smile a bit when watching... A scroller and an "effect", how oldskool.
