• djdaelch : Why the heck should I ? I'm no musician and I can't find any reason for using midi instead of xm in my releases. It doesn't interest me whether it's a midi tune, an xm or an mp3, I just don't like it. I guess you gotta accept that.
  
  And once again : Upvoting your own productions sucks.

• NeZbiE : The author of "Bimmelbahn 2002" sat at our desk and some time came over and asked if it might be possible that cel-shading is quite cpu-expensive ? I told him that it is not really the case, since it doesn't involve much more than a matrix multiplication and a dotproduct per vertex, because this is not really a problem on nowadays CPU's with these low poly-counts. He then told me that he doesn't know the algorithm, because he got the code from some tutorial. Another piece of code that is ripped is the .obj-loader that was used in the intro.
  
  Besides, I didn't like the prod, the models look okay, but it had absolutely not style and I hate the Midi-Tune.

  1) Results show nothing, as usual. There are several intros which would have deserved a higher rank.
  2) Upvoting your own stuff sucks.
  3) Stop ripping cel-shading code, the model-loader and get some real music, not a midi-tune. Ripping sucks, and even more if you don't even understand the principles behind the code you have ripped.
  
  Gotta get back to work.

• kolor kicks some ass again. Great stuff, although it crahshes my comp after some time. My favourite 4k in 2001.

• beyond : And the problem is ? Upvoting your own productions sucks, adding a production and then downvoting it doesn't (at least not in my opinion). If you would have added it, then uncle-x would have downvoted it as well, so what ?
  
  Besides, I liked this wild-demo quite much, was really nice to watch this one on the bigscreen.

• Thanks for the nice comments guys, this really helps to keep me motivated. I asked the orga before the competition whether the comments would be shown on the bigscreen or not and I wrote down something like "A can of 4k please", so everyone (at least every scener) would have understood this is about 1/3500 of the maximum size limit in the competition. Unfortunately they didn't and they didn't spread the productions before pricegiving either (I guess chaos^fr was the only one walking around with a CD containing "Medium" asking if anyone would like to have this prod), and the non-sceners do not even understand what 4k means, thus it doesn't really make me wonder that this production placed 15th or something like that. Anyways, had some fun creating it (I was kinda drunk and it was about 4:00 on friday when I started this little project) and it was nice seeing some sceners coming to me telling me that they liked it.
  
  Anyway, I might try to include two or three effects in the next 4k. :) Doing 8k productions in VC is quite easy (should be possible to put about five or six effects into this), I feel like there is no real competition, thus I will stay with 4k I think.
