- This brings memories of wishful twisting, only this one is solid and not particles. Really great work on the synth and the music fits really well. Overall a pretty great 4k! Congratulations!

- I think I managed to tell you on every possible platform, but I'll take yet a shot at it: That overblown flute is INSANE for a 4k synth. Clearly, this proves why all coders should learn about music and why all musicians should learn to code. I do know some of the stuff going on for the physical modelling, but being able to pull it off in the stack based design in 4klang is downright impressive. Also, to the people claiming this and tbat effect got boring after a couple of times: It was great the first time, right? Breaking the pattern by leaving it out would add more bytes. So I completely understand the reason for transitions, camera shake (which was perfectly administered - not too violent, not too subtle) to appear with tbe regularity they did. I have little knowledge of the tech stuff for the visuals, so from a purely visual perspective, everything looked really nice. Great choice of colors for the blue light and the twister, that to me definitely was caramel in the making! Massive effort on this one, Virgill.

- A 'prod' like this definitely works best live. Nice idea. Great execution and fantastic sound track. Video quality: not impressed 😁

- Completely forgot to compliment the pitch bend trick used in this one! Have had the same idea a couple of times but just really managed to make it work in Clinkster. I guess the pitch slide settings are simply too difficult to properly control with Clinkster for it to be feasible. Great work, once again 😉

- I think it pretty well sums up demoscene anno 2016 that this prod has more debate and elaborate comments than the winning demo from Evoke...

- I have to say I laughed my ass off when I saw what you guys came up with. What are the odds of us picking the same general theme? Well, the geometry of balloons might play a significant part, but other than that, I think it was simply fantastic to battle you guys. We should definitely do this again sometime. Also, as I already mentioned: yours had all the elements while ours lacked water and fire. I haven't got the insights of all the magic under the hood, but it sure as hell looked great and I particularly liked how the clouds behaved (is that the correct term!?) as the balloons rose up through them. On the musical side, picking "Air" was really great, and the implementation was just beautiful. Hats off for pulling this off in such short time and I'm really looking forward to our next challenge! Because there will be one, right? And why not include some more? Having a bunch of prods interpreting the same theme could be a really interesting twist in times where pretty much all technical stuff gets more and more comon. When engines and tools are perfected and shadertoy provides inspiration to an extend that's getting ridiculous, we should move on to compete on other artistic aspects, like interpreting a given theme or concept. SO, on behalf of Poo-Brainque, I hereby challenge Rift and other 4k coders that would like to join in on the fun, to interpret the theme "Vikings" for the 4k compo at TRSAC!

- I think this was really extraordinary. The visuals looked really great (and I disagree on it being too dark - it worked out perfect on the big screen) and the Whoooa-moment at the end when the alien was revealed was really great. Musically, I totally dig this one as well. While some of the instruments might be rushed a bit, I'm particularly impressed with the flute'ish one. General composition worked really great and the instruments stood nicely seperated from eachother, wich I know is a bit of a pain with every 4k synth. Overall, you guys really nailed it! From a concept point of view, I think it brought something new even though the "stuff under the hood" is familiar stuff to people who know about it. I don't, and can only relate to the actual stories being told (or not told) in 4k prods. This was something unique and unusual from what you normally see. Originality and fresh ideas are sparse in times of everyone using the same tools, watching the same shadertoy experiments and being inspired by the same other prods. I honestly think this little gem delivered exactly those new and fresh ideas. Thank you!

- It's not Clinkster. You'd struggle to create drums/percussion as those in this intro with Clinkster, I'm sure. It's actually the new synth that was put together to make the soundtrack for Nexus 8 possible. It's called Oidos (spanish for ears, I'm told) and I'm pretty sure it'll be released for everyone to use when Blueberry decides it's time and it's as optimized as can be.
The track for this intro consists of 5 instruments. The boomy drum in the start. A timpani/kettledrum type of instrument. A metallic hihat with long attack. The strings instrument. The last instrument is the one used for tbe burner blast as the balloon lights up.
As soon as the synth is released, I'll make sure all the tracks I've made with it and of course all the instruments, are handed to Blueberry so he can add examples and a small collection of 30-50 instruments along with the synth - isokadded on the 2016-08-14 23:55:37
