does this happen every run at exact same time?
i could only think of nvidia being excessively strict about NaN values, and therefore them being really easy to produce if not careful (and one making a 4k is not careful by definition). as every particle depends on every other particle, getting even only just one NaN somewhere instantly fills everything else to NaN too. i've seen this happen on my windows+nvidia machine also. will try to avoid this as much as i can in final version. - isokadded on the 2012-01-19 18:11:29

it is completely cross-platform and was actually made on osx and only then cross-compiled to win32 for party. There's a Linux build too, but as I'm still in Tokyo and don't have access to my Linux machine, it was not tested at all. These builds are not to be tried at home :D - isokadded on the 2012-01-16 14:29:52

- It is not a party prod in the full sense -- the SPH calculating and rendering pipeline was almost completed at the altitude of 11000m just before the party. So at the party I was left with three things to do:
1) tuning simulation constants to look more water-like
2) trying to come up with some depth function for scene that wouldn't make anyone throw up instantly (at which i apparently succeeded -- the partyplace was clean afterwards)
3) music, and, therefore, a quick-and-dirty synth from scratch, as at this moment i didn't have enough space for sonant/4klang (interesting fact: if i had additional 30 minutes, your ears would bleed much less, as i've almost had a delay and reverb in place). - isokadded on the 2012-01-16 14:21:27
