• the tiger libraries are installed by default, i think. at least i haven't installed anything :) no idea about ppc, the compiler i use (ghc) is not a cross compiler :( but probably there is a gcc flag to force universal binaries

  should solve the tiger/leopard issue. (it was not so easy in my case, had to recompile the language runtime too with these options...)
