• Technically impressive as per usual, but devoid of any soul or innovation whatsoever. And while I'm usually a sucker for DnB, the soundtrack was mostly grating and annoying to me.
  You can polish a potato to a mirror shine, but it keeps being a potato. I'll take Kevin over this any day. Challenge yourself mate, you're such an excellent designer I know you can do different! :)

  The cloud rendering is fantastic, but what really struck me most were... the colors. They're absolutely spot on.

• Wait, so for some it's too much story and too little tunnels, for others it's not enough criticism of the first ones' mindset? I'm confused now. Here's my two reasons for thinking this deserved 1st.
  
  a) It excelled at making me laugh.
  b) The competition was good, but none other excelled at anything specifically.
  
  I don't mind the invitation tacked on to the end. It's the first big party of the year, not being spammed with invites would actually be a cause of concern for me. And I'd always pick an entertaining invite over a boring one.

• I should add that all I did was re-implement the main loop in (hardly optimized) assembler - credit for the actual effect have to go to Frank Jan Sorensen alias Frank Patxi.
  
  It's still one of my favorite implementations of the classic fire effect!
