pouet 2.0 bugs me beautifull

category: general [glöplog]
https://pouet.net redirects to http://www.pouet.net instead of https for me. IE11 or Firefox 35.0.1, Win7. Would you be willing to investigate at your convenience? Much appreciated!

My remote investigation abilities tell me that there's a single mod_rewrite rule that simply redirects everything that is not www.pouet.net to http://www.pouet.net/

Thanks for the quick fix, Gargaj!

can someone help me with fixing this:

apparently there's two distance users on pouet, both with a separate amount of glöps.
can they be combined?
i'm fairly sure they're both me.

Unfortunately merging accounts causes quite a lot of inconsistency in the SceneID database. We're not really doing that, sorry... :(

Hi Tomoya.. is there some way for me to see the content that this other distance-account has? i'm fairly sure both of them have the same email account, so that could be problematic.

Additional question, since I found the content that this other distance-account has, what happens if the account is deleted - do the forum posts, threads, demo-comments, added nfo files etc all vanish?

I don't think we delete accounts outright. All the posts and prod comments from banned or deceased users still exist in the db and are visible online.

I'm not exactly sure if this is all the symptoms or cause, but there seems to be a difference between the HTTPS and HTTP sites with regards to being listed as logged in. If you're logged in under HTTPS, you're not logged in under HTTP. Ok, fine. However if I happen to end up back at Pouet (via a Google search or something) I may land on the site via HTTP. If I go back to the HTTPS-served tab and refresh, *poof*, I'm no longer logged in. :-/
Ok, there's a workaround. Just sign in on the non-HTTPS site. After that I seem to stay signed in on the HTTPS site. Good enough.
Or maybe add a custom rule for HTTPS Everywhere (if you use it). Better than potentially transmitting passwords over insecure connections.
Well this is just a Pouet issue, the actual login with SceneID redirects to them so I'm not worried about that here. Elsewhere, yes, I would be.
It almost bugs me. I'll submit a change request if others find this bugs them too and a main developer doesn't get around to it first: when the browser window isn't wide enough or the oneliner message is long enough the text wraps and goes under the user avatar. Seems like it would be tidier if the space below the image was empty and the text was always justified to the right of the image.

Easily fixed by applying:
Code:#pouetbox_latestoneliner a, #pouetbox_latestoneliner time, #pouetbox_latestoneliner a, #pouetbox_onelinerview time { float: left; margin-left: .25em; }

Well, it at least seems to work in a quick test using the Chrome and Firefox dev tools. :)
Feels like a waste of space on small screens - I don't see the problem with the text wrapping under the avatar.

The space we're debating about is only 16px wide. :P It could be conditional: if you're larger than 900px or something, then apply the styles.

It was just a minor suggestion. If it really bugged me out to hell and back, I'd have already submitted the pull request.
I've tried to login using PaleMoon browser (FF) and when I click the link to login via Scene.org I get "Initialise Sessions please!"

Does Pale Moon have some anti-cookie policy I don't know of?

I had problems with Palemoon and certain login sites as well (not only pouet/sceneID) but i couldnt be bothered to really look into it and switched to chrome instead ;P

On a celeron netbook. Has to run windows (for work) just trying to find something that doesn't chew resources like chrome/ff.
I'll check cookies are turned on Garg.

Would you please set the server config to download the intermediate SSL certificate as well as Pouet's? I get certificate errors on Android 4.4 Chrome. SSLTest report. Much appreciated!

New SSL cert installed, should be better now.
