Looking for someone with Kinect + OpenNI drivers to test my bachelor thesis software

category: offtopic [glöplog]

Hey,

I'm turning in my BSC thesis on monday. Right now I'm writing report - adding the last citations, fixing errors, and so on. I haven't tried my software on other machines, and I was thinking, maybe you would like to help me?

I'm making a little workbench for capturing and aligning point clouds from the Kinect. I'd just like to hear if it works from you. Try to use it to stitch together your bedroom or something :).

If you want to help, go to http://www.student.dtu.dk/~s072421/bscthesis/ and download "binary_draft.zip."

If you don't have a Kinect, you can also download "test.cloud", load it with the program and try to run some algorithms on that.

There is a guide on the software in section 8 of "report_draft_4.pdf", but first try to see if you can figure out how it works without it! I would like to see if I managed to make something slightly userfriendly :)

:D You have quite a bit work to do on the text, but what's already there looks good.

I wish you the best for your bt, sadly i don't own a kinect to play around with it..

Thanks for looking it through man, I really appreciate it.
I had all that last week but I installed the official SDK and that probably messed up with OpenNi.

Well, if you didn't remove the drivers, you could try? Also, I'd also be happy to hear if it works without the Kinect part - it SHOULD load without it, but it is dependant on having OpenNI installed on the system. Not necesarrily with drivers though.
no mac version no fun :/

It's not a third foot, it's a kitty!
