ForceWare (Detonator) 52.16

I have just tried this new official Nvidia driver and it seems that it solves some problems which I had with specific demos. The synching in Nah-Kolor's demo '33' was never working very well. Not with my old TNT2 and not with my GF2 Ti and of course tried with several drivers. The music was often to late or the sync was only partly correct. With the new driver it seems that the problem is fixed for the first time.
Vacuum's demo 'Resistance' lost completly any sync. since I have switched to the GF2 Ti. Also here the new driver fixes the problem for the first time. In case that you have similar problems with the same or other demos it's probably worth to try the new driver.
After installing them you should keep an eye on the GPU temperature. It seems that it's getting warmer than with some older drivers on specific systems. I have actually no problems, but you never know...

i will code a patch in qbasic and post it here asap.
styx: If some games don't work, you can be very sure some demos won't work.
Actually the first driver I was able to run Fireabend with.
I didn't notice many changes with other productions, except that it slows down init times for win2k bootup and for opening the driver menues.
Auf jeden Fall Danke für den Tip, Crest.

mizc: Bad side effect is that the driver actually doesn't work with many newer Fairlight demos. For this reason I have actually made a rollback. Pantaloon knows but it seems that there is no fix to expect in the near future ('Welcome to driver hell'), instead we can probably expect some new stuff with a new engine.
