Jeenio's initial post had nothing to do with the Breakpoint rules, but was questioning the artists integrity. I think it's a good idea to start this discussion again on page 13!

So, what is your opinion on wearing two differently colored socks?

Hmm... I think I'll stick to Imogen Heap and Emilie Autumn as remedy for my "weird girls doing music" cravings.

how's this for copyright infringement

Mixtapes are a different discussion. If a dj/livbe set adds enough artistic input one could argue that the result is a new, yet derivative work. That doesn't compare at all to the main subject of this thread.

Let's sum it up.

1/ mixtaping/mashing up/remixing/editing is ok
2/ mixtaping/mashing up/remixing/editing without saying it's a mashup/mash-up/remix/edit is OK if you can live with it.
just thinking, for a group called 'varia', making a rather one sourced soundtrack is rather ironic :D
k. nothing new then...

Available as FLAC here!
"Package includes a video by Fairlight & CNCD." Last I checked, demos were an artform created by the sum of its parts, not a music video.

Yeah, because like no one has ever user demo as a musicvideo before...
