As a Brit living in Poland for 6 years, I can't say theres much third worldliness about it at all. Rather pleasant place really, especially if you drink a lot of Bison piss at lunch time. Or if you are a lay-deee you can mix with apple juce.

gave the GL 2.1 pixel buffer objects a try this evening.
The CPU load for a streaming 60fps 512*512 texture upload dropped from 16-20% to "0"% (taskmgr). for a 1024*1024 texture it dropped from 100% to "0".. sweet. :)
