category: general [glöplog]
64k is almost as 1990s as laromlab on this photo
C'MON THERE IS NEW GROUP AUSTRALIAN DRUG FOUNDATION WITH COOL NEW DUDES FROM AUSTRALIA TO ROCK 64K SCENE ;D
But there were some nice demos on BP. 64M is the new 64k!

On the left Y axis, the number of PC demos and intros released per year since 1995, on the right Y axes the ratio between demos and intros (red line).
As you can see, the trends are both negative, because the PC scene is dying (but that's no news). On the other hand, the ratio is fastly growing, meaning that making demos is becoming more and more preferred over making intros.
Now you go build your theories.

i'll start by blaming aids.
You can also try with lack of pirates.
Hahahaha.. that made my evening :) ... or well... the scene really IS dying when we have to put up chart to see the consequences ;)
Naah, scene will never die. Also I think that even though there are less productions, a lot of work are put into those (lesser) productions (in general of course)

Dixan, you forgot the arrow labeled "actual size" :)
And I thought that only French demoscene was in very bad health.
it's even worse if you plot the relative sizes of demos versus intros!!!!!!
no really.
