category: general [glöplog]
hereby we can conclude: niels has monologues on msn!!!!1
no i just know what i'm doing :)
and tpb is prolly gonna be beaten badly.

apparently all my industry experience in no way implies i can make a modern demo like navis or smash. but we'll try.

I was wondering, have NA groups received their devkits yet?

Considering the quickly approaching date, I most likely will do a 4kb instead, and later focus on Blockparty and NVscene next year (assuming it is indeed still held).

Compo deadline will be around mid-day on tuesday the 26th (California time), and the compos will be later that day.

magic: The schedule will be published in California time, naturally, but there really should not be that big of a problem to calculate the european time from that.

We're trying to schedule the compos and such so that europeans can follow them in realtime, but the fallback option is to air a recording when europe wakes up :)

or THX-1138.
Male voice (medicine cabinet): What's wrong?
THX 1138: Nothing. Nothing really. I just feel that I need something stronger.
Male voice (medicine cabinet): If you have a problem, don't hesitate to ask for assistance.

We have created a "reel" with cuts from a lot of different demos. It is to be used for outreach efforts in the US, and specifically to get more people in universities and visual effects forums interested in demos and NVScene. In order not to offend anyone, we couldn't use the original music from the many, many demos we show clips from, so I made a track for the reel.

Hope you like it! :)

fucking awesome video Gloom great work!! It's like a nice demo all in itself, absolutely rocking tune for it aswell, although i didnt like that weird little scratching section in it much :P

But seriously, i think this does a nice job of conveying some "cool shit" to non-demosceners for your outreach attempts :)
