Kb : you perfectly know (or you should) that if REZ HD was easily warezable on XBLA as it was on DC, its sales would be far from what they currently are now on XBLA.
Keops, thank you for completely ignoring any point i've made and replying with a bullshit oneliner. Try harder to READ next time, kthx.
kb : I perfectly read your post and well, sorry, but I still think that way :)
magic. nothing fancy.. cyboman/eliss-d/mad-e (name was overtaken by a mate, formerly known as raze, but i did have some releases out under that name). several groups, started out in fanatic(dk), disaster, ambrosia, and i think i was in balance because motion invited me, but i left the scene alltogether so soon after that im not really sure it counts nor did i ever hear from the organizer at the time.
Well, for the last decade or so, the getting-stuff-for-free benefit has become less and less significant compared all the other benefits of not having to deal with the publishing industry. And yes you can say that without advocating piracy. You simply get a better product (and better service, and more respect) when you don't pay for it, and that's entirely the industry's own fault.
I should add "in many cases" somewhere in that last sentence. Probably. But I won't. Cause I'm like that.
Influence Device : unfortunately it's true as it was with music and all that DRM mess.
magic: you make the very same mistake as keops.
yes it's cool to crack the challenging game protections, to put some wobbling cracktros, to trade the releases and compete against other groups, BUT NO it's not cool that it induces that average joe leeches it and plays it to the end.
real fans buy their games, that's my own ethics. but only the games they love playing.
and kb is so right, modern and efficient download services are part of the way to restrict piracy to its normal and acceptable level.

Zest : what I wrote had nothing to do with what Magic wrote about warez groups "not standing up for what they are doing" (wtf is that nonsense Magic ?)
keops, what i mean in a nutshell : warezscene != piracy
Zest: come to think of it who make fancy crack intros? :)
eebliss: raze? i think i know him, he was in nah-kolor once wasnt he?
