I would love to see what adsense comes up on demo pages and forums.
With all the messed content on pouet that might be good for a laugh.

When it comes down to it, the admins of Pouet work hard. They have a great concept and they have bills to pay like everyone else.

I would not complain if they put ads on Pouet...although I would just block them anyway. :)
But Google has text ads. They are harder to block

Influence Device: what ?! just block anything from the domain/path hosting the ads provider. Case closed.

I'd be pretty upset about seeing any ads here. No, no, no..

Google Text-Ads would be unobtrusive at first glance, but think about the data mining factor. I wouldn't want Google to know my toothpaste brand, as I would surley post about brushing teeth on pouet one day (misusing it as a blog).. And as most visitors here use AdBlockPlus, those well-known forms of advertisment wouldn't make sense anyway.
An alternative to simple ad-banners et al would be sponsoring. I think, I'd rather buy a GUS, if Advanced Gravis would sponsor pouet/scene.org directly, just like demoparties are sponsored nowadays..
And think of the Intel Democontest - actually we are advertising this big company for free here, shouldn't we receive something in return (apart from the fun and the winner prizes)?

Addendum: I've just found the "sponsors"-link on scene.org: http://scene.org/sponsors.php

TOMPCpl: I'd really really hate if it looked like that. Unobtrusive my ass.

merkur: Actually the people who were competing in the Intel compos did get something in return. When Intel first organized the compo my thought was that they were still getting off cheap, but they don't seem to really use the entries for marketing purposes (read the latest Zine) so it's not that bad a deal after all.

we now have banners though.

my scene.org is rich.
The myscene.org community portal, that got sold to Jamba? I can't wait for the new and hip ring tones to arive.
The Google ads is not a good idea by several reasons -but- a contest for designing pouet and/or demoscene related t-shirts and selling them with benefits for scene.org would be great!

Genuine Swiss made R01ex replic@s are @s close to the rea] thing as a replica watch can be. Sometimes even the professional jewelers are unable to tell the difference from the real Rolex watch.

All genuine Swiss Rolex Replicas should have the following:

 Full 1-year Warranty
Solid 14k or 18k Gold on two-toned models
Guaranteed triple-wrapped gold on all-gold models
Genuine sapphire crystal - a type of glass that is many times better at resisting scratches than regular glass.
The color of the gold looks exactly like a genuine Rolex watch

If the retailer does not offer this, do not purchase from them!

\/\/e have all this! JUST COME and buy your REPLICA \/\/atches!

Hmm I'm only on AdBlock. It gets rid of image banners, iframes and flash banners very well. What does AdBlock Plus do apart from that?

I want google ads on pouet.net, because I want to see all the random stuff generated using pouet text that will appear on them !
Final.
