The first prod I tried to run was Second Reality, but I think it crashed very early. It always crashed in the old 486 Cyrix I had back then. I found a CD with oldschool demos and SR was the first I tried to run, cause I have heard good words about it and wanted to know how it looks like. Because of the crash, I tried another random demo from the CD and this was Ballmania by Sorcerers. I found it cute! ;)

The very first I runned after that and liked very much from the list (cause SR still didn't liked my old Cyrix 486) was Cronologia by Cascada. I still remember that I enjoyed the music in the vector part..

But I must have seen old cracktros much earlier, in my CPC,. though I didn't managed to learn more about them and the scene then :(

We bought a CDrom in a store full of demos (this was revolution back then..) and we tried all of them. The best were indeed second reality and crystal dreams II of course..
We hadn't modems so all we coud get were CD roms..

Hardwired by Silents & Crionics in 1991. I was staying over with relatives in Sweden when my Uncle came back from TG and showed it to me :)

Looked pretty impressive.

Budbrain Megademo was the first I saw too and began my ambition to become a scener.

i think the first demo i saw on pc was called visions. but know i can remember that the first one was on c64 a cracktro by fairlight
the very first demo i saw was on a c64-diskmag, too. i can´t remember the name but it featured some tune, a b/w picture of a starship and a scroller.
a friend of mine told me this was something called "demo" but i believed it to be an intro for a game or something. i could not believe why anyone would waste his time doing anything that useless, so i tried pushing every button to make it progress to the real part.
it didn´t.

Well, not too sure if you would really consider this part of the demoscene, but the first productions I was exposed to were cracktros =) To be quite honest, I really enjoyed quite a few of them. They make me nostalgic :)

I lost my scenevirginity with Mahoney & Kaktus: His Masters Noise musicdisk on A500 somewhere in early 90's. And I liked it so much I wanted to do similar stuff myself.

budbrain magademo
but for a very long time "State of the art" from spaceballs was/is my most favourit.
It seems budbrain's megademo deserves more credit than it is has been given... It was also my own first demo on a friend's amiga. On the pc, the first demos I ever saw must be FC's Unreal, Ultraforce vectordemo, bart's law etc...

My very first demo that I saw was Unreal by FC sometime in Nov '92. Cronologia by Cascada was also entertaining. Hey, I'm in my 11th year of scene experience now ;)
