ok, i'm enlightened now.

however i wasn't talking about crediting every material used in a demo. for example, while using duck.3ds or a legoman model is acceptable, using 3d models "found from the internet" is pretty much ripping. but when you write smt like "models: google" in the infofile noone's blood will boil. i take it as "we don't want to be judged for the quality of this model, rather for making a coherent design using it." the same applies to ripped music if it's credited as well.

if you use some common font (verdana, arial etc.) it won't matter since the typeface won't be significant. you will focus on other things like spacing and size when watching the demo. however using some "cool" fonts will instantly concentrate the demo around texts. if don't credit the font this time, you'll get a nice design with it's primary element ripped "from the internet". it's like removing the credits from werkkzeug and boasting on how you can make 64k's.

now, am i the only guy here who cares much on demo texts :) they are not simple material. human directly focus on the overlay texts of any image. wasn't scene poetry invented for hiding boringness of parts anyway?
texts are to demos what lyrics are to music.

anes: I also care about fonts and typography, but I think it's too late for what you're asking for. Tho, I think you're right and in my next prods I'll try to credit on the .nfo file to whoever did the font I used.

Yeah well, since most demopoetry sucks so much, you're pretty much forced to watch more of the fonts and typography than what it actually says. So I guess you kind of have a point :p

There are demos which contain standard fonts such as Times New Roman. In the old days, this would have been an incredible offence against style. I guess not even Microsoft would have used Times New Roman in their demos...

Nowadays it's tolerated, but IMHO it sucks - it makes the demo look very lame.
