...did the voters at a party actually vote "right"?
Ofcourse I'm talking about Assembly, I actually found myself agreeing with almost every single placement of prods in the different compos.
Other years we have had good demos buried down at 9-10, joke/and or gamelamer aimed demos placing high, but this year, almost everything fell into place. What is the reason? The absence of "joke" demos in the compos? Voters not being as drunked/stoned as usual (I have a hard time believing that...)

Well,. there were few disagreements about the 4k and oldschool compos, but generally the results seem rather right no matter there was strong competition with several good demos/intros there.
sdw: did you check the music and gfx stuff? i havent but i bet the results are fucked there :)
i havent even bothered to check the compos themselves to be honest :P
I can't say for certain because the Fairlight demo doesn't run on my shitbox, but if you guys are saying it's better than 1995 then it's gotta be some good shit!

No they didn't. 1995 should get the 2nd place. FAIRLIGHT's demo it's buggy! It doesn't even run smoothly at 320x200 without anti-aliasing in my modest machine! :)

flt demo runs perfectly smooth on my machine :P maybe it depends on video card. i have gf6.

Well, they had SMS voting, maybe in some fucked up way that made the difference? ;-)
By the way, does anyone know what went wrong at the 64k compo? I mean the 'where did the BASS go' stuff.
As for 64k compo, so far pouet statistics show that Chaos Theory should have won, whith Deadringer on second place.
Oldskool graphics was completeley wrong. The best picture ended up 4th.
