I enjoyed the article, it is well written and gives you the impression that the author has a clue about what he is writing about.

Netlabels are the path to commercialism - ADMIT IT!

You all just want the free advertising, so some commercial label will notice you and sign you.

We, the TRUE non-commercial scene, don't believe in this shit and only advertise on our own homepages, which no commercial label would ever dream of visiting.

Stayin' low!

(and if you believe what I just wrote, you will be shot - if you survive, you will be shot again)
Good article, Ghandy! Not much to add there besides a few links from a different point of view. Whatever, i think that nails the whereabouts pretty good while it's a good read as well.

@Nutman: Seems I was shot twice in this case.

Amiga Freaks are the real true non commercial ppl. They make demos that nobody (maybe 2-300 ppl) will watch, write articles nobody will read and will never be able to earn a single coin out of their hobby because their hardware is so deadly outdated.

Well, I still love doing it.

i've heard amiga-people with deadly outdated hardware do actually get a humble amount of price-dough at parties in case they win a compo, which is, compared to not a single coin, quite a lot

it's just charmingly beautiful how good you lot are at confirming stereotypes :)

only germans would fight over who's the most non-commercial.

ghandy: i know several old amiga "freaks" that are currently making a decent living off what used to be their hobby...

oh, and let's not forget that most Amiga-demos these days are released at big parties with at least 800 viewers just there.

i say Russian speccy-coders are the true non-commercial people, while Norwegian gba-coders are the true commercial people in the scene. OIL DOMINATION!
