I don't know about you but myself and quite a few of my friends or family are part of this system. We are members of corporations. Even multinational corporations. As part of such, we derive a certain amount of power. And corporations are not a new thing: corporations exist since history is being recorded, and always because they gave both power and safety to their members. (Insert funny parallel to the scene and its group-based structure) Unions are corporations. Companies are corporations. Trade-groups are corporations. Criminal groups also are corporations.

It would be hypocritical if I said such corporations are inherently evil but still kept my place in those I joined. But like any part of the power structure, they have a power. Our political systems usually make sure they also have responsabilities. We have to make sure they enforce those responsabilities.

The power structure is anyway complicated. And we are all part of it. Even through the single fact of possessing money. Or an internet connection. Or being educated. Or, for certain, being willing to blow themselves up.

I also don't envy the very powerful, for with power, comes an equally strong bondage to those or what gives you that power.

But I will join you on one point. Even in the most autocratic system, even in a system which is not respectful of the most basic human rights, a substantial number of people are going to be living happily. And that's the biggest danger to democracy. Individuals are responsible for the power structure they live in. Their actions or inaction.

I care about republican democracy because it is the only system that at least tries to ensure that minorities don't get oppressed by majorities. It's the only system that respect individuals as individuals and not group/class/caste members. All other systems fail in that regard.

(One definition of fascism is when corporations are the only entities adressed directly by political systems.)

Jones has written a paper regarding the September 11 terror attacks which is currently undergoing peer review and pending official publication in scientific journals. The most recent draft is posted on his faculty website at BYU ( http://www.physics.byu.edu/research/energy/htm7.html) Why Indeed did the WTC Buildings Collapse</a> ). In this paper, 'Why Indeed did the WTC Buildings Collapse', Jones cites evidence supporting the hypothesis that controlled demolition, rather than simply the impact of jet airliners and the ensuing fires, caused the buildings to collapse. In the treatise, Jones presents evidence for the explosive-demolition hypothesis, which has yet to be analyzed in any reports funded by the United States government. Jones notes all three buildings fell symmetrically into their footprints, a phenomenon associated with 'controlled demolition' and examined extensively by 9/11 researcher Jim Hoffman, in calling for renewed investigations into the 9/11 attacks. He points out, among other evidence, the speeds of the collapses, the "pulverization of concrete to flour-like powder," and the presence of horizontal puffs of smoke observed ascending the side of WTC 7, common when pre-positioned explosives are used to demolish buildings. Jones notes that some aspects of the buildings' collapses remain poorly understood and that the demolition hypothesis can quickly resolve much of the debate. A passage in his paper addressing this point:

"...How do the upper floors fall so quickly, then, and still conserve momentum in the collapsing buildings? The contradiction is ignored by FEMA, NIST and 9-11 Commission reports where conservation of momentum and the fall times were not analyzed. The paradox is easily resolved by the explosive demolition hypothesis, whereby explosives quickly remove lower-floor material including steel support columns and allow near free-fall-speed collapses (Harris, 2000)...."

Jones also examines the official reports by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and the National Commission on Terrorist Attacks Upon the United States (aka the 9/11 commission), which all conclude fires and damage alone caused complete demolition of all three buildings. A central topic within Jones essay is the contention that the condition and nature of the debris which remained following the buildings' collapses was not consistent with the scenarios documented by FEMA and NIST; in particular, along with the observations of molten metal at Ground Zero by Leslie Robertson (WTC structural engineer)and Dr. Allison Geyh (a public health investigator from Johns Hopkins), Jones cites and includes photographic evidence, which he says show molten metal in the debris, and notes the reports on sulfidation of structural steel.

Though it can hardly be considered good fortune to have an immediate reaction to aspartame, at least you are spared the potential long-term ticking time-bomb of a large array of neurological illnesses. (For example, many former camp inmates, as well as American soldiers, still speak of "gassing" at the Dachau camp in Germany, even though it is no longer held that any [homicidal] gas chamber was ever in use at that camp.)

Still, the Holocaust is an event that has seemingly grown in importance since the end of the war, taught as fact...usually accepted without question.

But how do we know it really happened? What "proofs" are offered for those not willing to take history on faith alone?

This video deals with, among other things, one of those proofs, one piece in a very large puzzle: the supposed gas chamber at the Auschwitz Main Camp. This tape is the first in a series of tapes covering my September 1992 trip to Europe to investigate first hand the sites of the alleged "Final Solution."

In Jacksonville, to determine if Republicans were using "caging lists" (1,886 names and addresses of voters in traditionally Democrat areas of Jacksonville, Florida.) or other means of intimidating voters, newsnight filmed a private detective filming every "early voter" - the majority of whom are black - from behind a vehicle with blacked-out windows. The private detective claimed not to know who was paying for his all-day services. On the scene, Democratic Congresswoman Corinne Brown said the surveillance operation was part of a campaign of intimidation tactics used by the Republican Party to intimidate and scare off African American voters, almost all of whom are registered Democrats.
