What dead and burried group do you want to resurrect?

category: general [glöplog]
My vote goes to Andromeda, why? Because of their clean and good design in their prods. Hardly see that anymore :)

I'd like to resurrect Gorbat Soft on the c64, they were truly one of the greatest.

Quartex and Alpha Flight.
Why? Because they died before I could try to join them :)

LSD, because they've got such a cool name... Leeds Software Distribution. Scenery has two explanations for the acronym though and apparently this one is newer.

_I_ would not like to resurrect any legendary group. Just bringing back an old famous name doesn't do much, unless the ones doing it would have ties to the original group and could release high quality stuff. Seeing such comeback from teams like Limbo, FIG or the Finnish division of Scoopex would be great. And I wouldn't mind seeing some activity from Byterapers for a change. ;)

Previously I was looking forward to the rumoured SCUP comeback, but with the recent Spedefisters & Jumalauta -flood it would only be redundant.

Im with break on this one.. since often when trying to resurrect dead groups it fails utterly.. and it ends with some new lamers getting the name in the mud and make shitprods.. and defend it with something like "hey it's oldskool, you don't understand nothing" or "we have the same spirit as when we started in 87" or maybe "it's all about having fun anyway".

fuckings to shitprods from groups that where good in the past.

there's a weird paradox with "comeback" groups.
they usually seem to expect some extra leniency or respect when judging their prods because they're "really oldschool legends and just doing it for fun with the oldschool spirit", and usually cant take criticism at all. yet, at the same time they expect leniency for their young new members releasing their first ever productions. if anyone dare says they arent anywhere near the level of the original formation of the group they get really upset.

those things go together hand in hand. you cant expect people to kiss your ass for being "oldschool legends" and at the same time be nice to you for releasing a first ever coded prod. and for christ's sake, if someone criticises your work learn to take it on the chin like everyone else. =)

and please, if you're gonna resurrect a group dont take in the same members who seem to float around all the other resurrected groups :)

and finally im gonna add pulse to the list. =)
