cool, this year the spamming party threads are about a UK scene party!

Yes, if Truck comes to live in your country, all the parties in that country will fill the pouet BBS every 3 days.

It's all MY fault, I'm sure of it.

/me sits on Darkus
sounds nearby enough. keep us all posted!

We will. It's happening, for sure. Stay tuned to that forum for updates, tho, cuz there are some considerations that have to be worked out (you know, first year party, new organizer, etc etc.)

But it is definately going down.

later, after things are more settled, there may be discussion of bustrip from London to Exeter, for those outside the UK who want to attend.

There may also be discussion of bustrip to Inerciademoparty05 by UKscene.

Discussion is imminent.

I'll probably go to this one, I always liked the cobbled together approach of a lot of UK parties.. If the tickets are £25, considering petrol, hotel room and beer, most people could probably do it for £150, though there's some nostalgia to be had from roughing it and just crashing in the hall.

Hope you get some comps organised.

good luck with your party, good to see uk scene more active again! just too bad about the party location, for international sceners no ryanair (or any big) airport nearby makes the party pretty much no-go outside uk...

truck, bustrip from stansted to exeter sounds nicer!

Now if there's some transport method from LHR to the party place and back I might consider...

wtf, a UK party in the arse end of nowhere! hold it somewhere more central, please! And melw - getting to Exeter even if you're in the UK isn't the easiest trip...

how close to london is the party held?
added on the 2005-04-11 09:13:11 by kusma kusma
The approximate distance as the crow flies from London to Exeter is 169.3 miles.

169.3 miles (mi) × 1.61 = 272.573 kilometers.

its worth remembering 2 things:
- london is a damn expensive place and its hard to find a venue for a small party there (especially one which allows using the venue for 3 days and nights, etc) for anywhere on budget the first time, when sponsors etc are lacking and you cant even tell how many could show up. otherwise i would be all for holding it near london so foreigners and people from the uk could get there easier
- the last party in the uk was in 2000, so _any_ party in this country should be something that at least all those sceners living in the uk should try to get to (and STOP WHINING about the location etc, show support this time and it might change next time - and there might actually be a next time at all).

if any foreigners want to turn up thats an unexpected bonus, and we'll make sure they have a very good time =)

Will alcohol be allowed?
added on the 2005-04-11 10:40:02 by dwangi dwangi
yes, it is allowed not to drink alcohol.
Ryainair stopped its connection from 'Brussels South' (thats Charleroi) to London.. This suxx majorly meaning that I can only fly in to Heathrow or London City. Stansted is not an option. :-(
