FairLight or Fairlight?

category: general [glöplog]

I've been noticing that the *cough* um... warez division of Fairlight is referring to themselves as "FairLight" now with a capital L.

Whats with that?

radman: when you start seeing "aCID" instead of "ACiD".. then you can be concerned. :)

Actually. There is a relatively new (21st century) PC-scene warez group, though not very prolific, which releases cracks using the ACiD name.

...AND OUR FILE_ID.DIZes. Haha. That's the best part. And at times they import our ASCII art wrong when they rip it off. Stuff like that entertains me to no end.

Here's a recipie for Christmas treats. I hope it's useful.

1 cup butter or margarine, softened
4 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
6 tablespoons cocoa powder
1-1/2 cup granulated sugar
4 cups quick-cooking oats
powdered sugar
flaked coconut
chopped nuts

Cream butter with water and vanilla. Add sugar, cocoa, and oatmeal, mix well. Roll into 1" balls. Add more water if necessary to make the dough stick together. Divide the balls in half. Roll half the balls in confectioners sugar and coconut, then roll the other half in the chopped nuts. Refrigerate until serving.
Chef's Salty Chocolate Balls (recipe):

two tablespoons of cinnamon
two or three egg whites
half a stick of butter, melted
stick it all in a bowl (baby)
stir it with a wooden spoon
mix in a cup of flour
(you'll be in heaven soon)
a quarter cup of unsweetened chocolate
half a cup of brandy
a bag or two of sugar
just a pinch of vanilla
grease up a cookie sheet
('cause I hate when my balls stick)
preheat the oven to 350
(give that spoon a lick)

Note: The ingredients do not include salt.

Everyone loves them.
