Name this prod from around 1998

category: general [glöplog]

I've seen a traumatising demo (or a wild?) in july 1998 at the euskal party 6 on the bigscreen during the party (maybe a PC demo <=1998), nover knew what it was except it fucking 'ulez !:

Description:

A lot of effect in the mood at that time where link
one after the other by REALLY WELL DONE transitions: the effects transform in another really like if they were ONE EFFECT, during the whole demo:

I remember there was a rotozoom/rotator, then it became a ceiling/floor raycaster (by just adding 2 rotation). Then further the raycaster became a voxel terrain. then the terrain became a 'voxel twister'. On and on like that, during the whole demo.

The texture colors where some kind of flashy, and the music was energetic.

Sounds like satori's Incyber but with better effects. (That was released in 2000 anyway, so even if you were really drunk it can't be that ;)

It sounds like my kind of stuff tho...

while we have this thread open, anyone remember an amiga demo from probably around 96, that had some pretty cool 3d with a desert, space ships and a secret base in a pyramid, that turned out to be nothing more than an mpg and a player?

hmm, that reminds me of Showbase Shape by C-Lous (Amiga) where all the effects are linked together, but the colours aren't exactly flashy. Nor I remember the music as energetic.

In a much more energetic and flashy style, there are the demos from Poison on PC. In one of them I remember seeing what looked like a 2d bumpmapping suddenly becoming part of a 3d world. But I don't think the transitions for the rest of the demos were that good. Definitely Worth watching though, they were pretty popular around 1998.

Okay, it's my turn. I vaguely recall seeing a demo on an Amiga 500 that had a 3D rotating toilet. I'd be most grateful to anyone who can identify it :)

Toilets were popular back in those days. Not sure which demo is was tho. Anyone remember a music disk that had 4 toilets with animated lids at the top as an equaliser while we're on the subject? :) It was from the earlier days... maybe around 90?

spenot: might've been Hardwired...
Does anyone remember an oldish Amiga demo that was a mix between Little Red Riding Hood and Terminator?

I also remember the wolf gets crucified and Red Riding Hood gets pregnant.

Anyone know what was it called and who was it by?
Slemmy: Thanks, that's the one I was looking for :)

I saw it at Snowman/Astroidea's house, probably just after it was released... I must have been really young and immature if a raytraced animation of a toilet was the part that captured my attention the most instead of any of the awesome realtime effects, or heck, even the sexy metal dude in the background of the twist scroller =))

It was the demos Snowman showed me that made me fall in love with the Amiga... Unfortunately Dad bought a boring XT :(
