You could have been a monkey or a robot.

category: residue [glöplog]

You could have been a monkey, but culture, thinkers, and intellectual discourse have made you the only intelligent life we know of, in a Universe that seems quite oblivious.

You could have been a robot, but you want to actually understand.

If you think well, you are better than a MIND MACHINE. Take fierce pride in that.

Fight the movement that has as ultimate goal to replace the only known intelligence before it spreads beyond the planet. Fight the movement that has as final goal to replace education and the appreciation of human ideas.

The era of idolizing thoughtlessness either in animal or machine form has ended.

Become a humanist.

photon is drinking again... carry on!
I fear most Human Degradation / Stupidity than Artificial Intelligence.
The first one will probably be our downfall.

I could've been a contender.
Why not both?

Technically, all of us humans are catarrhine monkeys. I thought everyone knew that, damn it.

We will be magicians.

Back in the days the coder was the magician, it was dark arts.

Now since facebook it's trendy with outsiders.

Now AI will make outsiders lazy. And those who continue coding will be the few rare species of wizards again. Like the good old times.

Just wait, time will tell.

Strawman ofc, but this happened long before. The only thing AI changes is the rate at which you can generate mainstream slop not made by you, and not requiring your talents.

My post is instead about feeling proud about programs you create, by learning and applying your talents.
