As I said in an earlier thread. I almost made a c64 demo, but rasterinterrputs is not that genious. So I rather laughed it away. And later got annoyed with sine scroll table lookups in intros. I would rather do an IIR feedback for this, excluding waste of cycles. Later supposedly genious scene coders did not even use the Gayle on the a1200, but rather was lowsize coders?

When they turned 18, Booze rather mattered. It seems Poüet is based on this version, lol. (Boozepoetry). I actually did booze with some of those people, who used to go to an apartment for just this purpose.

Later some got into game companies. One guy asked if I was interested and my job qualifications, and did an example question of how one should go about sampling car sounds.

I answered you need oscillators and a filter, for moving parts and car resonance. He did not understand this!

I always felt I knew better, but intros and games are not really for me.

The answer is, c64 is a joke on "God". Amiga "Satan". A lot of stuff there is lighthearted with christianity.
This was a way of being Elite, on retro platforms, game oriented, with joysticks around.

Once, when I was a kid, I almost made a C64 demo.
But I didn’t have a C64, so the demo remained almost made.

Then I decided to make a demo for the Amiga.
But I didn’t have an Amiga either.

What I did have was a bicycle.
So I tried to make a demo on that.
And I almost did, until I crashed into a tree.

It was just an ordinary tree, not a fractal one.
But I did see a beautiful visual effect: a flash and lots of flying particles.

After that, I never made demos again.

But please, let me tell you about the demoscene, because clearly, you have no idea what it’s about!
