a beer in Berlin
category: general [glöplog]
Hi,
I am aware that there are some demoscene people living in Berlin. What about having a beer? Although my "scene activity" in last few years has reduced into random sentences in the oneliner, I'm still interested in the scene. So, just in case you have nothing better to do, there is plenty of good pubs around the city...
(I am directly reachable on ellvis (at) zeroteam.sk if someone prefer that)

There's a more or less active facebook group in Berlin which coordinate a pub meet every now and then. (I'm bot active on Facebook anymore).
There's a regular amiga meetup I believe (ask Charlie for details) and two demoparties: BCC in Feb (C64) and Deadline in October (all platforms) of course :)

Yeah, I am not on facebook, so no idea about those. About Deadline - I attended the first one (but it collide date wise with something else so haven't been there since) and also once attended the BCC.
Well, at least I tried! :)

I feel summoned by v3nom, so here we go:
We have indeed a small (5-10 people) retro/Amiga meeting that happens every two weeks-ish on Saturday afternoon in a hacker/makerspace near the Hauptbahnhof. Since it grew out of a local Amiga User Group, we alternate between meetings with focus on "all around retrocomputers" (mid of month) and "Amiga" (end of month). Although we don't have anyone with a Speccy yet, but I'm sure people would be interested in a glimpse into that world too.
Although this is more for people with retrocomputer interest in general, and while that overlaps with the demoscene, it's not a full match. But we talk about demoscene too and parties, watch new and old demos on a bigscreen a from all sorts of machines (real hardware preferred), etc.
There's beer too, snacks, and some friendly chat. :) I'll drop you an e-mail with the details, maybe you're interested to join sometime.
