I feel like this may have been asked before but what happened exactly between 2001 and 2002?

I was at The Party for the first time in 1993. Fully (over)loaded with my Amiga, 1084S monitor, extensions and several disk boxes (~ 500 disks), by train to Bremen. And from there with the ingenious party bus to Herning. It remains a great and unforgettable experience for me to this day! Thank you to everyone who made this party possible. :-)

I'm curious as well. Last edition we went to was 2001, which, according to Demozoo, was "the last one to host proper demoscene competitions".

According to this website, if orgs carried on every year since the beginning, we'd have The Party 32 this year. not 30...
